Furniture construction often incorporates a mix of solid lumber, MDF, and various laminate or hardboard materials. As a result, fixturing and CNC machining systems must be adaptable—capable of handling changes in style, material, and production volume year after year.

Modern kitchen cabinetry, including both cabinets and doors, typically uses either solid wood or vinyl-coated MDF. Multiax CNC machines are engineered to meet the precision demands of vinyl-pressed MDF doors, where fast setup and changeover are essential to maintaining continuous, flexible manufacturing cycles.
